Paris in Flames

I'm sure most of you have heard about the riots in Paris, from what i've heard it started on Oct. 27, 2005 and has been growing steadily worse ever since. Mostly because of the inefficiency of the French police, and even the military! It is also due to uncontrolled immigration in the area. The chaos has engulfed many of the suburbs in Paris and the surrounding areas.

This all began because of two teenage boys who ran from the police, who they assumed were chasing them. Due to this fact they were unfortunately electrocuted to death; lets just say the rest of the population didn't take to kindly to that. And thus began the Paris riots, a brutal and uncontrolled event from the very beginning. Just some of the things that have happened since the riots started are: nine hundred vehicles burned, a school building was torched until there was little left of it but charred ruble, and several paramedics were stoned while there ambulance was being torched!

Even though the police in the area have been slow to act they have managed to arrest quite a few people, two hundred and fifty since yesterday afternoon. They also have a helicopter in the area chasing down some of the more dangerous rioters. If nothing else this should demonstrate to the French government that they need to crack down on immigration in the country. And it should also demonstrate to us in america that we should be very cautious of illegal immigration; we need to make it clear that we will not tolerate people coming into our country without a green card. Otherwise we may wake up one morning and find that what's happening in Paris, is happening here.

Only time will tell what will become of the citizens of Paris, I certainly hope they pull through, and I shall try to update you as events unfold.
